Support Person for an Applicant

Applicants may wish to have a support person attend the hearing with them to help them feel comfortable. The support person can be anyone they choose, for example, a friend or family member. The support person will not provide evidence at the hearing.

If the hearing is closed to the public, the panel will decide whether the support person can be present in the hearing room. Also, at the start of the hearing, the panel may ask the applicants privately to confirm that they wish to have the support person present.
